I’m a huge fan of classic video games (probably because when I was a kid everyone else had a Nintendo except me – I was stuck with a PC and games like Space Quest and Police Quest). One of the best things about these games is their complex simplicity. No wonder so many people create works of art to commemorate a time when there was no such thing as saves and you had to play for 5 hours straight if you wanted to save the Princess.

Therefore I was delighted to find this hand-drawn animation tribute to the little plumber in the red pants. One can only sit in awe at the huge amount of time the artist wasted spent perfecting this 60 second masterpiece.
