Movie Review by Perry Pannu:

Bee Movie
Bee Movie

In Theatres Today

I’m going to try and say something nice about this movie:

The animation was awesome…and it was nice to see Jerry Seinfeld entertaining people again…

…I guess there were some humorous parts…

…ok, I’m tapped out. Folks, this is the worst movie of the year. I lost my suspension of disbelief the moment Seinfeld’s character (who is a bee) first starts talking to Renée Zellweger’s character (who is human). The movie then takes this weird turn where they expect you to swallow one unbelievable thing after another. And since they lost me from the get go, I couldn’t care less what was happening or try to imagine the next wild idea. It’s really sad, because I was hoping it would bee a winner. If you want funny, it’s all in the trailer so I suggest you watch that over and over again. It will be cheaper, and believe me, you’ll feel better spending the money sending me presents of thanks.

Even cameos from celebrity heavyweights like Sting, Ray Liotta, and Oprah couldn’t keep this movie afloat. If possible, they made it that much more ridiculous.

I can honestly say that this is the worst movie that I’ve subjected myself to this year. Don’t bother going to see it in the theatres (if you’re already there, Dan in Real Life or Lars and The Real Girl are safer bets). If you still have doubts about this review, at least wait until the movie comes out on DVD before checking it out, or better yet, borrow it from your friend (you know, the one who’d rather give it to you for keeps). It will probably distract the little ones for a while, but that’s about it.
