As with all of Beau Nelson‘s Essential Makeup Tips, we are going to end the series with another very simple makeup application. We would all like a little contouring to give our face a little more shape. If you do it properly, you might even look like you lost a few pounds! This method is particularly useful for people like me who lack a well defined bone structure. For those that don’t have this problem, you can further enhance your looks (lucky you!).

For details on what tools to use, read on…

Guest Biography:

Beau Nelson
Creative Director, Beauté Cosmetics

Beau NelsonBeau Nelson grew up under the spell of a small town Alberta grandmother who introduced him to the glories of fine design, dramatic flair and a hot pink lip. He was designing theatrical makeup by fourteen, winning awards for his fashion makeup design by sixteen and at eighteen heading up the fashion show makeup team for Holt Renfrew. On the side, he was strategizing looks for the Alberta Ballet. The term prodigy would not go amiss. Basically, Beau burst out of Stampede country in a hurry. It must have been his French blood.

Working in the artist division of Mode Models in Calgary, Beau had the opportunity to help develop the looks of supermodels such as Heather Marks, Agniezka and Darla Baker. After several seasons creating runway looks in New York for such clients as Cynthia Rowley and As Four, a couple of stints designing faces for Paul Hardy in LA, and consulting with numerous celebrities – Marcia Cross of Desperate Housewives, Amanda Bynes, and Supermodel Iman, for instance – Beau was ready for the bigger and better.

He made the move to Toronto and can be seen in the current cycle of Canada’s Next Top Model as the new season’s makeup artist. He has also developed a brand of irresistible makeup products called Beauté Cosmetics. Every step of the way, Beau Nelson is going to make sure that his clientele is completely informed as to how to make the most of his products thanks to on-site instruction and extensive website tutorials. He may have his eye on the elite but he’s inclusive at heart; Beauté is about making perfection available to every woman who knows how to hunt down the best.
